So who exactly is Krampus you ask? Well, Krampus is something of a devil, who specifically goes after those who are extremely, unforgivably, way past redemption NAUGHTY. It's been said that Santa shares his Naughty and Nice lists with Krampus. When Krampus gets a hold of that list, it's only a matter of time before the extra naughty get punished.... and usually in the most brutal ways imaginable. Krampus takes on many forms. He can appear with grey, brown, white or black fur, sharp fangs, giant horns and a really long tongue. His feet are usually like that of a goat's, but some Krampus devils have been spotted with furry feet, paired with thick, black claws. he has long, elf-like ears, a long, pointed tail and sometimes hides weapons under his fur. He slumbers near the Alps, waiting for those familiar sleigh bells to alert him to a house where the naughtiest, sassiest, rudest most disrespectful and destructive live. He sometimes will wait for Santa to visit the house and watch in the windows. He waits to see just who has coal in their stockings, so he'll know who to go after once Santa leaves. Krampusnaught is his holiday, celebrated on December 5th, the day before Saint Nicolas Day. Each year, many Krampus devils come out to chase after the wicked and naughty and celebrations are held in his honor worldwide. Sometimes, when you hear a rustling in the bushes, it isn't the wind.... |
